In A Matter Of Moments The whole world shut down when you left, it took so long to get it back in spin, but it came to a stop on a dime tonight when you decided to come back again. Sleepy-eyed wonder, you were, indeed, my fingertips softly stroked your face, in a matter of moments, you gave in to drift off into that dreamy place. And in a matter of moments, you succeeded to tear down walls that took months to build, in a matter of moments, there was no pain and the empty space in me was filled. When you woke, you touched me there and set ablaze the land once chilled, mountains crumbled, willows laughed, the moon broke in half and oceans spilled... all in a matter of moments. |

Dixie, you are incredibly articulate with metaphor and emotion, both. I have a lump in my throat reading this. Darlin' when oceans spill, it usually means tsunami... Bless your heart! ~ Karen |
