Smile

For now I'll pretend
that I'm happy again.
Not just going
through the motions.
Not all wound up
in painful emotions.
I miss the desire
of romance.
I long to do
a joyful dance.
Like Gene Kelly
singing in the rain.

Just thinking about a poet from Hawaii in a joyful dance to "singing in the rain" puts a big Smile on my face with no other words needed. Enjoyed reading.
