My time is valuable like my love. Don't waste it or abuse it There are people I have to meet There are places I must travel while in this illusion called life Don't count yourself with such importance If you loose me you never had me We just completed what we were meant to finish. I must tread on with or without you You'll remain in my heart freely I will never lock you out |

"If you loose me you never had me/ We just completed what we were meant to finish." Simple, yet elegant. You've given words to a realization I've had ever since I broke up with someone I loved - or at least, I thought I loved. Thank you! |

"this illusion called life" ::smiles:: yes. But let it be realized... If life is an illusion then so is the "liver". The one that calls it..."illusion" is himself an illusion. ::smiles:: "Don't count yourself with such importance" :: bows :: Wonderful write ! |

That's the best way to handle it. Really good job! I detect a tiny note of cynicism, which is helpful no doubt in certain moments. But what really counts is the awareness of your own value. Loved it. Love, Margherita |

Patricia, ThisDiamond, and Margherita, Thank you all for your comments. It took much pain and growth to get to this point where I could write this. Bless you all. Huggs Kimberly |

My father told me, when I first started taking music seriously, to make the first note sweet, and the last note sweet, and they'll forget what came in between. I probably won't remember what came in between, but the first and last notes were nectar, especially the last. For if there is one thing I've learned about love, it is that there is never, never, ever a good enough reason to lock your heart. Thank you for reminding me that I'm not the only one who knows. A poem's just a poet in a word. |

This is a very good read...you have shown us parts of yourself that many wish to have as well as traits of compassion and understanding...of freedom and wisdom... very nicely done! |

Nadj, Thank you for your comment I learned how not to lock my heart when I became a christian. I read all the scriptures on love and learned what it was. Magnus Thank you as well, I write from my heart and have studied many religions which is where wisdom developed in me. Huggs Kimberly |

This is getting a little kinky for reasons you you could not know. Yesterday morning, either just before or just after I wrote my response, I shared an experience with an acquaintence (then, now I think a friend). We had both witnessed something earlier that was distressing to both of us. When we talked about it later, it turned into a positively thrilling shared moment during which we both shed more than one tear. The point is that she said that she had, like you, found her way to that view we were discussing (not locking your heart) through her Christian faith. I had come there by an entirely different route. Yet there we were, smack dab in the identical place, with our hearts pounding in joy at being able to share it so completely and satisfyingly. So this 24 hours has been a double header. :-) I love it when a plan comes together. LOL Thanks again. A poem's just a poet in a word. |
