5480 Life to Love 18 June 2006 Of those thoughts we have and the day to the moon Happiness, or being sad made tomorrow another new So comes summer, the sunlight warm for where was spring, that of a winter night Seasons to account, moderate to fall this day of all days, upon a mountain top tall To never know, or just to find out this thought of truth, that away from doubt For where was passion, that to another kin no empty promises, only renewed in death Everything in its place the twilight, an evening dawn Sure it was true, a life to love whatever was twisted and turned it will happen, when those dreams come true “some times a comment is an inspiration some times it can be more” Christopher W Herbert (1960-) 18 June 2006 © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |

Christopher~ *smiling* gently ... this time ... I truly liked your footnote~ "some times a comment is an inspiration some times it can be more" *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

this poem was written after reading another persons poem, in this case, not on pip. but all the same, I understand how we find ways to respond on what we have read in our own way. so after writing my words in spirit of that inspiration, the words of the footnote came to me, even if I was quoting myself in the process the footnotes do serve a purpose, not all may understand, and one factor is to do with filling the pages in my publications. Another is in trying to assist the reader. either way the style of my presentation with footnotes has been with me for several years now. thanks for your kind input to my writing sharing is caring after all a poet who cares |
