For the Record, I Told You So My furious tone Bangs on your governor’s door commanding more, Demanding everything and what not. My voice can’t tap dance loud enough On your space-wasting brain. I can load my message into a shotgun And send its fragments towards your head. It may sting. But better that than a nuke and a cruise missile Knocking down your palace On Christmas Day. I know you can hear me, There’s no getting around it As I scream it through my megaphone. You can dig trenches around it And try to shoot the hell out of it. Nice try but you missed. Twenty years down the pre-apocalyptic road, You’ll remember That ringing banging your eardrum. Stomping on your ignorance Doing its little rain dance Waiting for it to rain bombs. Momma says, "Life... is like a box full of chocolates, you never know when you're gonna get one with a nut in it". |

I told “them” that war with nuclear weapons will lead to a very bad place. In layman’s terms, war + nuclear weapons = bad business. Because sometimes war is necessary but when the big toys are pulled out, someone might lose an eye or a country. - Ed Momma says, "Life... is like a box full of chocolates, you never know when you're gonna get one with a nut in it". |

Thanks. A common misconception about my war poetry is that it is angry. A lot of people have asked me why am I so angry in some poems. Totally untrue, I just get passionate about the topic. I am a pacifist so when I write things like, "I can load my message into a shotgun And send its fragments towards your head". It's purely metaphorical. Cheers - Ed Momma says, "Life... is like a box full of chocolates, you never know when you're gonna get one with a nut in it". |

Keeping to the metaphors, something lingers on my tongue, about honey, and vinegar, and flies. You've got mail! |

humerous I thought, little weak on the ending after 'you'll remember', but a fun read and said with voice |

A very powerful write. :-) Until he extends the circle of his compassion to all living things, |
