Forever In Your Heart

0 posted 2006-02-11 02:18 AM

Rain tears poured down her cheek,
peering into the garden where they met,
her breathing became shallow and weak,
for his love, was a love, not to forget.

She knelt down, plucking a red rose,
one they had planted so long ago,
she pulled it up gently to her nose,
loves' frangrance allowed memory to flow.

She pressed the petals against her warm lips,
where memorys' scent still lingers,
sweet scent stained her fingertips,
as the petals crumbled between her fingers.

Deep within her thoughts he remained,
a love devine, flamed, uncontained,
oh, his kisses of passionate lips,
tasted sweet as red berries, stained.

With eyes closed, tiptoeing through his thoughts,
whispering his poems, they danced inside her head,
he her beloved king, she queen, this their camelot,
love is their passion, their symbol a rose red.

Warm fingers were felt across her closed eyes,
warm lips pressed the back of her neck,
love had came back, to her a surprise,
For she was his only true love,
a memory he shall never forget.

The stain of true love is immortal.

I like your style too, ARH, and the poem.  Stories and ballads of love and romance form the basis of most of my poems. We will get along fine.
