ECSTASY 20 August 1986 My eagle, that taught me how to fly, Remember the freedom of the blue blue skies, and the sun that warmed our wings. Remember how we dipped and swirled and twirled and dived and pierced the clouds, together. Remember? Remember. - Owl |

I really like this one Owl. For some reason though, it makes me sad. See, I have three eagles that live on my family's property and I see them everyday. But I am moving and I won't see my babies anymore; and I regret that. Great poem, you never disappoint me. - Ed |

Thanks, and giggles, Martie. Ed Grim, thanks for your kind words. I, too, would feel the same way about not seeing your eagles again. That is very sad. I hope the rest of your family who live there or the person/people who will be living there instead, will love and respect them as much. Thanks Skyfire. I love eagles too, although my eagle was a man in my past about whom I wrote a great deal and I have posted a few of the poems here so far - "Hope", "Restraint", "Euphoria" (at that time), "Retaliation" and "Altruism" and then of course, this one. Thanks, Jody. He was a very important man in my life, and he played a pivotal role in almost all my personal development since. - Owl |
