I walk alone in the shadows of the night
Watching the world as it turn its light
Sadness and grief fills my being
For I breathe though I am not living

I am not afraid of the things to come
For I have seen more than the world implies
Where the quest for meaning leads me to
A memory of emptiness - that now haunts me
