The man in the cave On a day that will live in infamy for sure Two towers of great proportions fell, they were no more People hugged, people cried, people grew mad Some had lost everything they ever had Thousands died, thousands more distraught They looked through the rubble for family members, oh, how they sought Some found there blood line of relatives, wounded just a bit Others looked for days with no luck, be refused to quit One month after this disastrous attack, a B-52 bomber was called into action Over the mountainous region where the Taliban lay, it dropped bombs to our satisfaction Looking for the one man who ordered such an attack on our land We came up empty, though we captured much of his top command The coward shall wait for death in his dark musty old cave For soon, he shall see, outside his tunnel, the Red, white and blue flag gallantly wave Its quite easy to talk arrogantly when you are miles and miles away from the fight But as Saddam knows, we will search for you day and night In his cave he shall wait In his cave he will make death his last date A coward such as he, a brutal man such as he Deserves no less than death for attacking the land of the free No matter, if you are republican, if you are democrat Either side would like to see justice brought to this horrific murderous rat The day will come when he lay face down in a cave Or behind steel bars awaiting to be put in his grave The coward shall run from all that oppose him But, the paths are closing, his chances of escaping, by the day are getting more slim Run he will, evade he will try Soon, he will come out and above him, the American eagle shall fly People will rejoice, another tyrant will be brought down People will cheer from the biggest state to the smallest town For the people who lost there loved ones, this will be of some relief Though, no matter what happens, nothing can take away their grief History has taught us to expect the unexpected, for it will occur Look back at December, 1941, though for some it may just be a blur Now, I end this with some words of love You must be ready to take down evil when push comes to shove To the families who lost there loved ones, to the innocents who died Know, there is always a place for you in our hearts, miles wide |

I guess any type of attack from any country and people sitting there saying kill kill kill when not every single person has the idea leaders kill those that had nothing to do with it leaders and followers |

I'm so glad I live in a country that's so civilized we can make that kind of guesses, and write this kind of poem, without fear of black uniforms in the night. The key to a good polemic poem is to make it good poetry, and so transparent that people see and feel the message with no distraction. We should save our political discussions for The Alley of course, but a poem to start us thinking is a good thing in either place. You did pretty good up there, didn't you? ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> ______________Ratleader______________ |
