I dance a two bladed dance to the sky above, singing the sirens song of longing and lust, though I find nothing so grandious as that in my heart. I feel the void of days ago and a life unspent in rage against the status quo and having done so I find it rather bothersome that I have not finished fighting. I agree to the wind and find some strange solice that I have nothing to gain but my freedom for the anger I have kept as my most gracious host. And slicing through the silence I vow to never look through the stained glass windows pretending that all is as it should be, for that is when we lose. |

You speak the truth. Much enjoyed your way with words here. |

Don't know looking out the window is interesting enough without having to enjoy our own part in the world |

Michael, I loved this. The subtle rhymes, the flow, the honesty. One of my favourite lines from a song go, "The tension is here, between who we are and who we should be, between how it is and how it should be." I think that's one of the best definitions of happiness - the less the tension between those things, the greater the happiness we feel. Your last lines also encapsulated this perfectly. Great write. The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears. |
