I wake every morning with
the blues on my breath
strange days
not like before

I believe to my soul Sweet Serenity
is moanin’ the blues to me
in my dreams
making me a gift
I can’t put down

they ride me like a witch
hum me under their breath
walk me where I would not go
haunt my every covenant

yet at night
I lay up in the bed
and wait
for their
sweet return

I agree - all of your work is first class, and you sure have a style of your own. I am glad Karen grabbed this already as I was about to take it for her.
