We’re together on Australia day, united by a bond That takes us to our place of pride and then a bit beyond It takes us to beginnings, where founders came to start To realize then, the legacy, by which we play our part
We’re united by a Spirit, that lives the Aussie way That takes hold of adversity and gets on with the day Here sharing time on land diverse, by shores that harbor peace Within a place of g’day mate, where friendships coexist
We share a common feeling that things will be OK While being helped by others who divide the load each day And though we have the option, we choose to be a part Of this one mighty nation that our founders came to start
The Land Down Under some may say; but what a place to be Miles away from trouble and well guarded by the sea Where we can breathe the clean air, enjoy the water clear Where we can plan a future that will still be there next year
Today we thank our Country and the founders that did see This land of opportunity, where we are all so free Where each day I feel lucky to have the choice in day To do the things I’d like to try, to have my voice and say
So all look at your family and all the things you’ve got You’ll find you have a treasure trove and really quite a lot Then celebrate the years of past and this the Aussie way Enjoy some time with all ya mates, on this Australia Day

Hi, Rick! I never met an Aussie I didn't like! Happy Australia Day!
I hope to one day visit the Land Down Under! ~ and hug a koala bear!
Our Canada Day is July 1st. This year marks our 139th year of confederation.
I enjoyed your patriotic poem!
Have a glorious day!
Hugs with love, Linda
