where the wild flowers grow

I am made of stone,
these graves that grow
more and more desolate
are me..Aged, broken and
useless.
I
am just a child,
lost amongst my dead.

I
have not earned
such wise wings,
I have not
sought out for flight.

Time has fed upon me,
leaving me dry,
cracked and without
meaningful age..only
falling apart completely..I am
still

your last breath,
your final tear,
the skin you shed...

I am
still
in love with you
lost without..and confined
if not
with your comforting chains..

My mind is fruitless,
waving like stripes of cloud in the wind, and
I bend
in shapes you
could never attain, I wait..

I wait forever
in search of forgiveness..

I am stone, bewildered stone, lost
and crumbled
like the ash
and smoke...

inhale me,
one
last
time.
