unscalable wall all hail the outside world that overhangs in oddity some place in wistfulness glancing through white pillars deep into this blackened fissure i left the moon behind like a second enigma, way past opened saloon doors where fine dining becomes a madness of mind reminding me of great hunger i was trapped as if by magic face down in some blackened sea wet dreariness became a bloodstained serpentine dead man motionless became empty wrongness am i the white innocence of paint spattered on a small frame house sprinkled with unsightly blotches large cracks between the bricks of simplest construction? the chill of rain, nipping winds of fuzzy haired blizzards wall me in, becomes intolerant means an experiment, blind & helpless by choice something made of blue stone & brown parcel paper i stand in the square of this wall unstamped letters, half-way to mourning in the night and quietude of this unscalable wall this half empty life, clashing banging on the glass of my door [This message has been edited by LeeJ (05-18-2006 02:53 PM).] |

LeeJ You know one time I used to dream I was fighting with a man made of rubber. Like your poem you get the feeling you can't win. |
