The Phone Number
It’s been a long day
Searching for months and she said “yes”
Tonights the night

Didn’t sleep well
First to pay me attention I can recall
I want her
To have a ball
Met John for lunch
Advice, he’s got a bunch
Bought the latest smells
Got strange looks from the Franchise girls

Showered so much I’m red
Green gel on my bed
Yellow flashing on my back
Guts gone home
Prefers a sack

Gotta go, can’t tell the boys
I chickened
All that noise
In the cab the neon sign
Said “shut his mouth”, you’re doing fine

Outside
The
Place
Of
My
Dreams

Or short of salts place
She'd stood me up
Thank for anyone for that
If she'd turned up

When on my back
A ratatatatat
In glasses I slowly turned
Seeing humour
Slowly yearned
Then she laughed
And slowly turned
You are sure you
Want to learn

I nodded
Heart between my teeth
This is the number
No repeat
That is the number that I dialed
Put the one in front, she smiled

I like you so forget these things
Lets go and teach you how to sing

Dave

Midnight

I wrote this for a lot of men

Women 'if you will pardon the expression' think it is hard to find a soul mate.

A lot men seem to be looking for a mate, and soul, can often seem an extra.

A wonderful read Dave.

LOL, I dated someone once many years ago who said he wanted to "save my sorry soul"  but all I was willing to give was my body
I never dated him again, just told him
"please leave my soul alone, it's just fine, thank you!"

Thanks Froggy

Midnight

I wouldn't say that to, too many men

Some of them have just got onto solid food and taking the muzzle off

Unless of course
