4108 A Poet Who Cares 21 July 2005 A poet who cares in signature to the tune Of this open heart to give others in words and works shared to a room Of happenings along the way even if motive and esteem are not all of self To try ones best in gathering in happenings to that - when happiness was better health Of friendships and foes those other woes With or without or of the spirit within These days of multitude of far too many to count Because to care was to give much to all of beholden in amount “A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful which God has implanted in the human soul.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749 - 1832) German dramatist, novelist, poet, & scientist “Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth.
