What good are poets anyway? Dreamers all I say- Finding beauty everywhere, a making nighttime day. Blast them daft word scribbers; I like it way down here in my little world alone - don't want nobody near. And when by chanch I stumble upon a verse at times... Why, nothing makes me madder than reading them damn rhymes! |

bubblesleave - Perhaps poetry picks us and not the other way around. Once bagged and snagged, the lack of control makes us mad! ![]() |

Sorry rhymes make you mad , that must mean mine make you truly angry then, because I rhyme each time I pick up my pen by the way there is nothing wrong with dreams Hope |

Sorry Kacy, but the "Taj" is Mahal. groan ![]() What good are poets...anyway? That's what my husband has been asking for six years now. Poets are, well Willy Wonka said it best: "Oh, you should never, never doubt what nobody is sure about." as paraphrased from:The Microbe by Hilaire Belloc [1870-1953] OR--- "We are the music-makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams." From the scene in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, wherein he proudly shows off his latest invention--lickable wallpaper. source:from Ode by Arthur O'Shaughnessy [1844-1881] Or should you prefer-- Here's a quickie from Ogden Nash: Home, 99 44/100% Sweet Home by Ogden Nash [1902-1971] "Home is heaven and orgies are vile, But I like an orgy, once in a while." ![]() Thanks for smiles. ![]() with gratitude to another site: http://home.att.net/~tom.brodhead/wonka.htm |

"Taj Mahal means "Crown Palace" and is in fact the most well preserved and architecturally beautiful tomb in the world. It is best described by the English poet, Sir Edwin Arnold, as "Not a piece of architecture, as other buildings are, but the proud passions of an emperor’s love wrought in living stones." It is a celebration of woman built in marble and that’s the way to appreciate it. " LOL, Serenity...it was the facetious me...saying I hate the way the windows face... ![]() Lest anyone get the wrong idea the Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful sites of LOVE in the world. Anyway, you just keep that pen busy, miss bubbles. ![]() |
