I sat in the corner never looking your way I prayed that maybe it would be my day You stood and came over Holding our your hand to me I couldn't move I was afraid to feel Your eyes so soft and calm Your smile so sweet and inviting I wanted to take your hand But my pain filled my heart The memories of losing one Makes it so hard to try I looked back down Still afraid You bend down to me and said Life is nothing with out a smile You and I both have had it hard We've lost the one that matters most But that is why I smile I smile for him So all can know my feelings for him Are still here I looked back up to shocked to talk Your understanding of this made me smile Made me stand And made me come to you With your help I smiled my forbidden smile The one I locked away so long ago Here is my thanks Here is my forbidden smile.. From now on I will smile a lot more. |
