“THEM” AND US Now “they” want to Google us Where will all this snooping end? Remember stories of, “Big Brother”? Well, he’s lurking ‘round the bend. “They” tap our phones when “they” want Though “they” could work within the law But “they” think “they” are above it And we should be in shock and awe! “They” say “they” have good reason While “they” take our Rights away A little bit here, a little bit there But, isn’t that always the way? While we pretend it doesn’t matter Say, “It’s not that big a deal!” But, it’s our very Constitution That “they” are trying to steal. Some say, “they” should have the power To do whatever it may take And some of “them” think our Laws Are just something “they” can break. “They” leave our borders open So anyone can walk right in While we try to fight a war That at this rate, we’ll never win. While “they” bend the rules to suit The way “they” want things to be Someday we’ll look and wonder What happened to, this Land of the Free? 01-20-2006 Del "Abe" Jones Mankind's greatest accomplishment is not the revolution of technology, it is the evolution of creativity. |

 (standing ovation) Bravo, dearest friend, for speaking your heart out here, as indeed this is EXACTLY what's at stake here; our very law of the land, and when our president and elected officials truly believe they have uninhibited powers and have the right to govern above all law, then what happens to our checks and balances system? What message does that send the youth of tomorrow in that they'll think it's okay to live beyond the law themselves? (sad sigh) Bless you, dearest friend, may we all continue to speak out and make them not only hear, but LISTEN to the hearts and minds of all of us, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Abe, thank you for sharing!  May love and light always shine upon you!
