A beautiful light enclosed in a box Let out to shine in short bursts in short moments Brilliant and pure the white light to the prism Shines colors of clarity only seen on the wall In the darkened room unmoving and silent It’s only in the dark rooms that the shining seems... lucid The light so encompassing should be let out some day Perhaps for all people or perhaps for a few Let this light slay away the gloom And the days will be brighter and the colors will be true |

Poetry when there isn't anything else will be some daub on a wall, or a picture Writing poetry is often like some kind of disease You only discuss in a "clinic like this" I feel I can write poetry but I only keep it to consenting adults, otherwise unless I tread the weary boards of people telling me what I can write, I have to write outside of my country, because I will not let people control my words, subject to duly passed laws and custom in the UK. It sounds like you feel hemn'd in. Work on the quality and after 40 years, you will be an 'overnight' success Dave |
