Middle Class Dilemma Empty hands--bare, raw and overworked. Panic-stricken; backbone of labor, no leisure time for indulging. Weathered faces, cracked and dry, amid scripted smiles choking on sermons in reverence-- praising an elusive deity in humble gratitude. Our father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name... Give us this day our daily bread... Forever and Ever Amen. Unanswered prayers in bleeding houses of shame/ hiding unbridled passion bedded down in the dark. (Whispers of secret unions) Ssssshhhh. Give and give, the expected donor. More money needed, work harder! Pride in vocation, families wither from neglect. Orphans for the taking, Uncle Sam’s pride and joy. Never enough, it’s never enough. |

This is your heart speaking. There is no rhyme for the shame of this neglect. You nailed it - there is never enough! |
