A new day
The dawn of a fresh future
The whisper of a promise
A head bowed in prayer.

"Lord, thank you for this day,
And all it has to offer.
Take me by the hand, Lord,
And shelter me from harm.
But most of all I ask you,
Let me bring a smile,
To a stranger's face,
Joy to a loved one's heart,
And understanding for a friend.
Amen."

Know yourself before you try to know someone else.

What a wonderful prayer from someone so thoughtful! Those who are kind can only think but to pray to help others.

yes this is like a prayer only children can pray up cuz they have that element we are missing today...very nice...love it

Thank you all for the kind words. This is a prayer that I have always used to try and help guild me in my life. Sometimes it's not always easy but it always works out in the long run.
