Night has risen with darkness in hand As I walk blinded by blackened light, Roads swallowed with passing sand Timing paths within an emotional night. Striving on to find my life’s shining star A pointed hope stands within eyesight, Wobbling carelessly to what stood far I force myself on finishing a painful fight. A bench lied near the lamp brightened Like a crutch for my soul to lean back, Shedding tears I now sleep frightened For I am scared by this realm so black. Forever hunted by haunting nightmares A wish for dreamier sights now awaken, Hoping for the renewal of lovely shares I beg compassion from a beauty hidden. Closing my eyes to the waking slumber Steps are now heard from a distant land, An angel covered by this orange matter Slowly approaches with a leaning hand. As her movements cease near my sight Her facial expression is vaguely visible, This angelic figure resembling the flight Of a deceased loved one unmatchable. A soothing breeze now echoes a voice Familiar to my hears for unique beauty, Her messaging now reveals the choice For another chance to a life with lovely. Leaning towards the blinding light near I approach the angel that has appeared, Nightmares swallowed by what they fear A guiding light from those disappeared. As the angel sings a hymn for blessing It strengthens my heart with her beauty, Flying above shedding a tear of caring She vanishes from my arriving curiosity. Opening my eyes to the powerful light A watery drop fell on my broken heart, Leaning towards with this lovely sight I now stand ready for a new given start. Fixing at the lamp into planned slumber An angelic message echoed all I adore, As a caring tone covers my inner shatter My mothers scarf appeared once more. Kenny Vatché Avakian A tribute to my mom who has passed away. Love you mom.. |

My mother passed away also, so I could relate so well to this. Poetically speaking, your rythym was superb; it never missed a beat. Obviously, the emotional level was optimum. Thanks for sharing. Liz...Carpe Diem |
