There used to be a time
when every word that left my pen
evoked you.
But now...now you no
longer hold my heart
captive in your eyes.
You no longer make
me dream, scream, lust, love.
And for the first time...
...in forever it seems...
I can write without tears
without pain...without joy?
But at least I can write.
Of all the things you
took from me that's what
hurt the most.
Instead of words all
that hit the paper used
to be tears...even now
it's hard, so hard.
But I don't write you anymore.

I can relate to this very easily. And, good for you. Also, this made me, right away, think of the song, Edge of Thorns by Savatage.
