{Revised}

Like a hole that’s split in two
And then fallen in by three

Like a void that never fills
While sinking in a sea

Like tension in a rope
I can't exhale a sigh

Like yesterdays demands
Tomorrows won't pass by

Like a million thoughts in one
All tangled up in blue

Like a bell for whom it tolls
Whose chime is overdue

These feelings will not leave
I can’t show them the door
They take up all my space
But still they ask for more

"Melvin, the best thing you got going for you is your willingness to humiliate yourself."

Man, dontcha just hate being crowded out of your own space?
Hugs to you, wishing for more brilliant sunshine in your days and nights. Or more poetry, anyway.

"Like a million thoughts in one

Neat picture... What a wonder it is to begin to experience this...
Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Loved that stanza Mike.
Something we can all relate to from time to time.
