Thou art gone, the ghost of ye be near, Of death th’ thoughts that were Be none! The braveheart knows-- and borne be poet tears let kiss be breath unto a memory, Though depart thy soul thee be-- the mystery! Th’ rain doth fall amongst us hail me down to passing life beyond and ours. ”Onwards!” ye be another passing memory, Though wings hath th’ roamed skies To lose a feather amongst the past- Ah, shall it voyage ever downwards a breath unto the night between the thoughts, ”The memories” hath experienced thee- for th’ grain hast fallen further in deathless turns o’er a dream foretold if only… ”Too late!” once said the memories knowingly, Angels hath wept since the passing of my soul Graves dost not know my form still remains- Drowning on the ale of th’ forgotten name My heart shall be nor me to blame, ”She forever whispers” – no sound dost remain- ”She forever waits” – no form dost remain ”She forever wants to be” Damned be th’ memories! Lo! No breath shall come to me afar, No soul to shield th’ distance stars of hope Still white be the fields thou once longed for- for me and thee to walk without a thought to kiss the memories “We linger, we linger!” And in the moor come now the whispered voice- no heaven exists to be part of a greater world so let us be a thought amongst them all. |
