I considered that I needed to write something on this paper that blankly accuses. I know I should probably try to put into words the way the world seems to betray or the fact that I expect less than yesterday. Yet I shrug with imposed indifference, rhetorically asking myself why I expected more when everything seems nothing short of mostly confused. Trust in ones self or anything else feels horribly abused. Relished songs of dire times and forsaken love wrapped in bitter words of never again and lessons learnt. I think too much. Just seems like a lot goes on below the surface of what I thought was crystal clear. Buoyant enough to keep from treading eventually sinking in the fear. I gave birth to terror in the night. I replay conversation of faint lyrical mumblings trying to get the words right Yet I wonder of it all and where everything might be. Where might I fall in the ambiguity. Knowing a lacking of all things secreting secure In this, a world of madness, I’m left feeling a bit in the obscure. "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

I think it's maturity, a reality, wisdom and the feeling of responsibility weighing very heavily on one's shoulders, a sense of understanding (a certain slant of) reality. That sudden fear in the night that one isn't managing the way one wants to, nor coping with as many problems as fast as one wants to and that one should be doing better - and the desire to fix everything instantaneously! I think the answer is to drink tranquility, to have faith, and to rely on the support of those around us sometimes and to bask in their friendship and love, and to take each moment and absorb its peace and beauty and promise. I have a wonderful Powerpoint slideshow that Enchantress sent to me (so recently that I haven't thanked her for it yet!), and I thought it would make you feel better, but I see that you don't have an email address entered in Pip. If you have one and would like the slideshow, please either email me or Enchantress for it. - Owl |

Susan, There is much written that I could relate to at one time. Well expressed and written too. Enjoyed! "Melvin, the best thing you got going for you is your willingness to humiliate yourself." |

Relished songs of dire times and forsaken love wrapped in bitter words of never again and lessons learnt. I think too much. Just seems like a lot goes on below the surface of what I thought was crystal clear. Buoyant enough to keep from treading eventually sinking in the fear ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That verse really did it for me! It is that truth that sets us free, no matter how much it hurts. I do believe you speak for so many, Susan. Nothing like good and honest poetry at it's very best!! *applause* |

Very sincere poem, would like to talk for the hell of it as former friends, email at [email protected] No strings and no problems, just want to say hey to someone from the past that I am sorry for not living up to what I should have been. Steve. |
