please sir, let me date your daughter

            she has the water

                   i need

           to romantically feed

     on my heartfelt intentions to weed

away all  of the misunderstandings caused

      when i was too smitten to pause

long enough to let her draw up the correct papers which establishes the clause

that i get to be her Santa Clause

               next Christmas
