When the bubble that keeps you afloat grows dark and loses momentum you know you are lost in the sea, the sea, the sea, of humanity, with nothing to set you apart from those who say they have heart. And the seemingly same roll with the times while rising, yes, rising, in useless endeavour to reach the door of unknown origin and ask again to be let back in. Why leave at all when the records are there of the turn, turn again, between war and war that never stops at the station called “Peace” to make of the earth a much better place? Yet we go and we sink and we think many things on the side of the real purpose of life because that with the bubble sank in the sea and swimmers can’t swim forever it seems … and there off the coast of how we should be turmoil and strife celebrate life. But we love one another in this marriage of sorts between the spirit and physical matter changing partners and minds at fanciful whim until everything comes undone and we never can find the bubble again. It’s popped, you see, so what can we do but flat line the brain and hope to go home! Helen / 6 May 2006 |

Honeybunch, I don't know how I overlooked your writing so long but I consider it my loss. There are many who feel as you describe in these lines. I myself fight this demon on a regular basis. The only world we really have the power to change is the world that is me. Sometimes we must sink before we find will to rise. Blowing bubbles! :-) |

So many tiny bubbles. When we realize how tiny we really are, to be able to fit into those bubbles, we will understand it is indeed time to let them burst and join the world outside. enjoyed this, martyjo |

"Why leave at all when the records are there of the turn, turn again, between war and war that never stops at the station called “Peace” to make of the earth a much better place?' Now, that's a really good question, Helen. I think sometimes, though, a few swimmers make it. & hugs......jo |

I must ditto illiana... "Why leave at all when the records are there of the turn, turn again, between war and war that never stops at the station called “Peace” to make of the earth a much better place?' This stanza is outstanding, as is the entire poem. ------------ice ><> |
