you smiled at the buckets with their 4 gallon balls and the boys in the bushes that pretended they were indians you said I would find something in the forest of woman trees that would satisfy my craving for the obvious flavors I preferred and that you would watch me climb from your place on the swing and to be careful near the sand lest I leave footprints easy for you to follow accidentally when you weren't alone with him and you would have to explain our schooling and the coat rooms where we were wickedly playful _____ daark |
