Warning, watch your step for another poem is under construction.I never finish a poem even if it is put on this site. I am ever rewriting them by new insight or trying to get the grammar right.Your comments are welcomed for by you my words are honed.

Treasures Afar

Abides a treasury created by
The spoken Logos in past tense of old
And "hiding openly" midst ways retold,
Which stretches from nigh to far heaven's high.
Its faraway depths rest beyond one's eye
In many storied tiers of vast unfold,
With lovely fiery designs enscrolled
On parchment spanning the steep endless sky!

And darkness' the opening and door
That's entered to behold this rich affair;
And, lo, without the dark, dim that far shore.

Poor earthly paupers peer on treasures rare
By way of the night into heaven's store
And gather "pennies" which these treasures share!

My thoughts, too, Seymour!

Brother John,  I love the treasures we can't spend.  And I want to tell you your pen name brings a treasured memory to mind, too.  How grateful I am for heaven's store.

::smiles::   And even one who is deaf, mute, blind, illiterate and totally ignorant of any "doctrine" has complete access to the treasure trove.   So much glorious wealth...hidden in dusty sacks.  Each sack...looking beyond itself...in search of treasure.  Amazing.
Wonderful write !    As always

Dear Seymour,

Thank you.  As you know, some poems are born easily and some have a long birthing process.
This one arrived fairly easy from that mystic shore.(Earth Angel)

Dear Klassy,

Tonight as I read your kindly remarks, I heard the fluttering of "stellar wings."
Yes, there are treasures gold cannot buy and some gain trash and call it treasures.  And precious memories are worth more than gold and silver piled to heaven's gate!  Blessings on you.

Dear Passing Shadows,

Again you have taken time to come my way. I see your lovely shadow all over this site.  How do you do it.  Well, I do know; it is called love!   Thank you for your kind remarks!

Dear Enchantress,

With your lovely words you have "touched my heart!"  "Out of the treasury of the heart the mouth speaks!"

Thank you!

Thank you!

hmmmmm...  You read "Stellar" ?   I'm thinking you are referring to winged thoughts and messengers.  Angels, perhaps. If you so, you assume correctly about my family's Brother John.

Hugs,

Dear Klassy,

I believe earth is the porch to heaven. Heaven is just beyond death's door.  O the many times I have sensed my mother's presence.  About 2 months before she died, she was in bed and all at once she saw her dead grandmother at the foot of her bed. My mother told me: "John, it will not be very long until I will have to leave you!" And it was not.

The blessings of heaven be upon you!

Dear Klassy Lassy,

When I typed that foregoing message to you, I used the words: earth the porch of heaven.

These words I have never used before to my knowledge. I am sure they are not original. Nevertheless, Klassy, a poem is being birthed in my soul's womb on this subject. If it had not been for you, it may not be coming forth. I am thankful to the Lord for our paths crossing.

In a day or two, the poem may be finished enough to post it.

Blessings on you!
