The flower lady has seen these before, "Imperfections" if that is the right word, To personify as evil, natures mars. From distance, I ask What worlds come to view In the dim of human coma? Are Scenes the same as seen By tulip petal flaws, as bumps That dwell in vaults, beneath locks? Only possessors Of these blemishes, Can know for sure. She has been there before, In that place awake, asking Flowers to hear her prayers Connecting flesh to fiber Seeing all as inseparate Knowing that the petals Will say a mantra back. Now we, by lack of other ways Use means of words, dot the I's And cross the t's to join The flowers in poetic prayers, For her return, to us and they. |

Beautiful poem... I read all the posts I could see about Martie. I updated myself on the situation too and I am sorry to hear that she isn't well... though happy to read very encouraging posts about what is going on. I don't know Martie and Taylor yet as I am quite new here but I do send good thoughts their way. I am looking forward to meeting them and getting to know them better. I'm reading all these poems for Sweet Martie, she is most definately blessed to have so many people being positive for her! And who love her, she is definately in my prayers as well. This was just beautiful..this hits close to home...my boyfriends father has a tumor deep within his brain...but all we can do is be positive and pray.. If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried. |
