4052 Who is this God? 29 June 2005 To hold your hand to walk next to you each day But who is this God that denies the choice This Father of all creation whom says what will be to proclaim Of Him in prayer thy does ask the sun of such a holy in name Who is this God whom gave her to me A sister not born of blood except in Christ to be For I know of her in time before when her and I did truly stand in twin These spirits in beauty to solid heart in cries of happiness to obtain and rejoice "Then . . . , What day thou buyest the field of the hand . . . , thou must buy it also . . . of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance. And the kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar mine own inheritance: redeem thou my right to thyself; for I cannot redeem it." Ruth 4: 5-6 KJV "And it shall be, that the firstborn which she beareth shall succeed in the name of his brother which is dead, that his name be not put out of Israel" Deuteronomy 25: 6 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
