              i wish i could be your man

        even though you have alternative plans

                         to suntan

                        with a guy

you knew long before i walked up and said hi

from the beginning, you said you'd cry

                      nite and day

            if you were pulled away

           from the dude you call soulmate

       but the Dole pineapples on your plate

                tempted me contemplate

            the possibility of us existing together

plus, with your personality as light as a feather

i thought it would be easy for a friendship to start

but the harder i tried the more we grew apart

and now it doesn't appear that we'll ever share a shopping cart

                          at Krogers
