Night Purrs Standing at the edge of the garden Dimly lit spires of reverent dutch Hushed in colors of collected rain I knelt to see the sky from their vantage Came the contented songs at their will A shiver of intoxication drawn in my breath Almost as Alice, perceived in Cinderella shoes I listened as darkness stroked each sound A magical place, despondent to vision My unnecessary eyes closed to hear Clearer sang the orchestra of tranquility Cloud cover sat low, filtering the moon And night purrs kept company with dreams Copyright Kkh 5/2/06 |
