5268 Knight of Defence 08 April 2006 Just remember, I wrote the book the one she does at night read All tucked up in safety of the sheets no one to harm her in ways unkind Her beauty, much more than summer the season, one of her own Any picture that can paint these words those being held with her in gratitude Not to treat her wrong but with uppermost respect To know of her in understanding twice in spirit, a world conjoined As each night, her dreams are peace a drift upon a poetic wave to reach To know her, was to love her protection only God could allow “And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.” Exodus 2: 25 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares The proof is in the view |
