A Cane Day

I leaned upon my cane in pain
Seeing the sky and coming rain
Listening to the rumbles in space
Watching the throw of lightening lace

The echo’s fill my listening ear
Scattering all my thoughts of clear
And pain fills my knee and back
Another twist of the weathers rack

Each storm that passes stays with me
It leaves a little pain you see
It’s now the scenery above my stage
Compliments of advancing age

And though I take it all in stride
There is no place in day to hide
I still can’t seem to bring my mind
To think this grant and gesture kind

So I have ground it to a pill
An antidote to boost my will

Excellent words, the pain obviously is not

And the pill to ease

I have a finger just the same
Aging now, its bend is "lame!"  LOL

Oh Sy, only you can make me laugh at my own aches and pains, and this wonderful thing called, life!

It's when we don't have a cane, and don't need the Advil, that is when I am going to start to really worry not now, how about you?

Oh, you poor little puppy. You write so well of your ails!

At least you can still wag your tail!

Thank you so much for the read and comment.

Sharon,
It was really about Isabel. She feels all these things and is going for a knee replacement the 17th of May. My poem was in empathy.

Susan,
Thank you my dear.

Earth Angel
You are a love. Read my answer to Sharon.

Well I certainly am pleased that it wasn't you! But I'm not pleased that it is your beloved Isabel either!

I will be praying that all will go well with her surgery ~ and that she won't hit you with her cane if her pain does not bring out the best of her! Flirty 2

Love and hugs to both of you,
EA
