Listening to every heart

0 posted 2006-04-29 12:45 PM

Time Brings

And listen with me to the tick ‘o’clock
in some grandfatherly antiquated form
with seemingly a bigger pendant that would
bring a longer moment

still, too swift in its, oh chimed,
timed, this, its brass movement
of pendulum’s swing where time rushes

except, unless, always until

when in great wait and want, some
deeper need existing, some urgency
enlisting a need to know now,
and you stare, stare at a moment
in hang, a rope tightening some
artery, to stay, to stay,

holding steady moving too fast,
something cold…trying to finger
its way into some route of blood,
with some silent  [Oh My God]
echo, echo, hollow, hello
hello…

Oh…

hello?  Yes, Please!  Tell me…

save the notes, save the grace,
telephone, tell a tree, tell the wind…
‘tis good news…this night.

Time brings all things;
tonight it magnified into
something more.

The lightest slip of more,
bringing love.

" It matters not this distance now  " Excerpt, Yesterday's Love

I am left to be reminded of these words

What was living
in a happiness born
Was there hope to awake
from a sleep into the morn

and to read the rest A Time to Live

a poet who cares

Waiting is always the hardest thing a human can do, isn't it my Sunshine?
But the news can be good, and the investment can be fulfilling...and in this time, someone special came through triumphant!
Have a wonderful weekend.

Some things are worth waiting for!

It's easy to remember when a long-distance call invariably meant bad news.....what a joyful development that these days it just as often means good things coming our way.

PS

But, Sunshine, could not time be pregnant with eternity?

Stunning poem, Sunshine.  I love it!  Yes, it was wonderful news about Martie!  And yes, we can all breathe and smile now.  You depicted it perfectly.

It's probably not how much, how little or how fast it is but how we use it. A thoughful write.
