874 Time to Contemplate 30 July 2000 All dressed up and nowhere to go left with justice to show Ahead the good times to have with such an opportunity to grab All prepared for the next step and an appointment kept With time the enemy held adverse and much time to rehearse All ready for satisfaction but halfway an obvious infraction Left alone to await the day and a period open to pray All not being enough because the road remains tough This burden one to overtake and a heart venerable to break “And I say unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church;and the gates of hellshall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16: 18 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
