Stairs to heaven Wars are fought without meaning and flames of hell are rising and theres only one stairway to heaven Good men turn wicked and the seas are black with hate and theres only one stairway heaven Religon becomes about gaining wealth and the air is brown with death and theres only one stairway to heaven The youth is tainted with matrial and our land is covered in ash and theres only one stairway to heavan On a balance of justice the gold is more than life and the earth begins to crack and theres only one stairway to heaven God frowns on his sons and daughters and Imps crawl from the fissure and theres only one stairway to heavan Jesus is out of tears and the world is submeged in darkness and there is no longer a stairway to heavan |

Good poem... an good insight on what the World is about and what could happen. Mia Rainclouds lie in your tears, sunshine in your heart. When you cry from happiness, you glow as a rainbow. - Marie-Ève C. |

What if there never was a stairway? What if this is it. Nice contemplation piece. "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

Dear Readyforit, I am keep thinking about your pen name, Readyforit. Write a poem on what you are ready for. Thanks for your honesty. To me, we have blocked, with our "trash," the stairway to heaven. It is not so much we using the stairs to return to heaven, as allowing heaven to come to us. This is my real grip with organized religion. Organized religion uses the stairs as a "fire escape!" And even in this, OR uses it to promote its selfish reasons to be. THE TRUTH is beyond their walls of rites! |
