5327 A ‘Tammy’ Inside 22 April 2006 Photographs bent, memories faded just to love you, unaided The truth captured in time a poet of words void, or in rhyme This love from afar perhaps not romantic As eyes have a way of being silent she knew, but she never understood Was it her beauty, or ugliness inside this woman, this angel Her angelica to give a “Tammy” to a well known song this past and the present she did belong Another picture, maybe not in living colour of petition, but more of her A black and white image pained by numbers, as to no era “Does my lover feel what I feel When he comes near? My heart beats so joyfully You’d think that he could hear Wish I knew if he knew What I’m dreaming of Tammy, Tammy, Tammy’s in love” Song made famous by Debbie Reynolds (1932-) singer and actress, “Tammy” from her 1957 film Tammy and the Bachelor) © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |

Oh, this was so lovely and romantic. I believe that there is a little bit of Tammy in all women. I adored that movie and I still sing and hum that song to this day! ~ and THIS day, to be sure! Love & Light, EA |
