Today has been fantastic,
I was visiting my home,
Met my son and daughter,
(The best friends I've ever known).

My son's a body builder,
Competes in "UFC"
He's chiseled like a statue
And is faster than "Ali"

My daughter came along too,
She's only seventeen,
Looks like a model from Covergirl
(A nun I wish she'd be)

We drove up thru the mountains,
Dogwoods all in bloom,
Redbud trees and animals
From hibernation tombs.

I love my Alabama,
Like Lynard Skynard said,
"The skies are blue and morals high,
And religion isn't dead."

They pray in schools and rules are strict,
A man still tips his hat,
Ladies treated with respect,
(Can you imagine that?)

Yes, today has been quite special,
Not much these days I love,
But I loved my day today Lord,
Just a thanks to Thee above.

Well you know my feelings on family, and I am always warmed by any words that show a family in the progress mof creating memories.  This was precious T, and the kids look healthy and well as Alabama kids should.

Don't think I'd mess with that boy
Too many muscles, I fear.
I think he'd make some mincemeat out of
Your pal Balladeer.

Your daughter is a beauty!!
The only thing that's bad
Is whatever guy that marries her
Gets YOU as his  step-dad!

Two great specimens they are -
Your daughter and your son.
Go back to that adoption place
And get another one!!!

just had my son sing it for me....
had to come back because now the dang song is stuck in my head!

"Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you"

Sing it with me Toe!

Toe, I wish that your every day could be so blessed! I was smiling from the beginning to the end of your post! (and especially at the photo of your son!) ~ I trust the acorn did not fall far from the tree! Flirty 2

It was wonderful to see the gorgeous photos of the fruit of your looms, but where is the pic of Daddy?!?

Toe, everything about this happy, proud, beautiful post, warmed my heart.
