The night falls silently Like a dark veil covering the earth It is the end of another day¡ Another day without you Not a moment passes that you are not on my mind Oh, how I wish I could be with you now The days drift by slowly like sand in the hourglass of time I count the moments until we are together again The gentle breeze begins to blow And for a moment, I think I hear you calling my name Quietly whispering into my ear I turn, but alas¡. you are not there Another lonely night without you Tears begin to flow down my face Accompanied by the aching of a broken heart Torn by the memories of you and our time together The smile on your face and the taste of your lips Forever branded upon my soul I am haunted endlessly by the memories of you But it is not the memories I desire, it¡¯s you¡only you The moment we met, my life changed forever Never before has anyone touched my heart such as you You rekindled the embers that I thought had died long ago And created a fire deep within my heart All that I am now and will ever be is because of you You are the strength that guides me every hour of the day The memories of you can never be replaced Memories¡. sweet memories¡. memories of you |
