I don't miss her as much now that I am near these velvet mournings and the frozen tracks of their trains when they pretend to be the wolves with wet voices emptying in the hollow windows of a dampened sky and I have made friends here too with the dancing of branches on the eves of the stones with their brittle sounds just before the breaking comes and the gasps of lifeless or so it would seem their sound, paints their graveled skin with miles of laconicisms smileless, but poetically stoic _______________ dark |

"I don't miss her as much now that I am near these velvet mournings and the frozen tracks of their trains" I have missed your poetry, DS!! It's very good to read your words this morning. |

Made me feel at peace actually, even in that desolate landscape which fuels your muse. Velvet mornings, wish I had written that. Beautifully sad, Mr. Dark. Just how I like 'em. |

Sorting thoughts from your oblivion leaves me tracing the frozen tracks of velvet mourings and wishing for the dance of pink cherry blossoms instead of branches dancing brittle...albeit, they last no longer in the breath of a breeze. A sound of wolves howling in the hollows of morning seems unbearably foreboding and lonely. I'm moved by the very intense imagery and evocative use of metaphor in this write. ~ Karen ~ |

"I don't miss her as much now" made me feel happy.... and then sad as the poem unfurled with so much loneliness and then happy again as I read..... "Smileless but poetically stoic" I enjoyed! |
