In Silence, I Weep
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

I slide down silk tendrils of moonbeams,
And into thy sweet dreams of night.
I wrap thee in a gossamer rainbow,
~Woven strands of shimmering light.

Mine breath be the promise of roses,
Thou inhalest its perfumed imbue.
Mine touch be the caress of down feathers,
Mine kisses be the moist morning dew.

With the rise of full moon I do travel,
To lie by thy side whilst ye sleep.
Whispering mine love and sweet longing,
~But thy silence lends me to weep.

Love is the unifying force
which integrates one’s soul with another.
~ Linda L. Dowd

iliana ~

Yes, this could apply to anyone who is missing someone they love. They can spiritually travel to be by their side to send love and protection whilst they are sleeping.

FNG ~

Yes, I concur. It is tender, yet sad.

Most of my poetry just flows out of me without me knowing where I'm going with it. I am often just as surprised at the ending as a reader is!

Warm, welcoming hug,

Dear Rose of Gold ~

Yes, there a undercurrent of emotions that becomes apparent when one looks a little deeper. ~ and you my friend, never take a poem at face value. You have an understanding of what other writers are trying to say.

This poem flowed from me from a past experience. Such emotions linger but can remain hidden for years ~ then some thing, some one, can stir them back up to the surface.

Warm hug,
Linda

(angel hugs) Oh Linda, no two moments to me are ever more silent than the ten minutes before I fall asleep and the thirty seconds once I wake up! (sigh) Longing ever sooooooo much to meet my dream girl for the first time feels just like missing someone and yearning for someone because I already know deep in my heart we're destined to be, and knowing that makes it feel as though we've already been together and I've been seperated from her for too long! (sad sigh) I truly feel guilt in imagining my girl feeling this very same way, and envisoning how she's taking care of herself, something I've been trying to put to poetic form much more as of late! God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Noah ~

Your romantic poetry is full of passion. love, vitality, beauty, yearnin' ~ and burnin'.

You have quite an impressive compilation to show your dream girl when she appears out of the mist and into your arms.

Aww, yes. My poem does end on a sad note, Dear Sweet Sensitive One.

As you love others, so may you be loved, my friend!
