In mourning and disgrace... the sun hid its face. Across the hill, there fell an eerie lull There were many eyes that cried But their pleas were nullified as the young man died at the Valley of the Skull Many years later I succumbed to the illusion... I was shaken by the loss ! Overcome by confusion... At the base of Yeshua's cross ! With mouth agape... I beheld the shape of the Son upon the tree... Who there appears like any other man fallen under Death's decree I peered through misperception at this one whom Death had stung Then...a sacred drop of enlightened blood... fell upon my tongue A brilliant light brought slow awakening to my dark and slumbering mind And I understood the message that this man had left behind... I beheld myself and those around me and knew ... that come the third days dawn... If he still laid wrapped within the shroud... The Son of God lives on ! He had resurrected years before that date. Years before the day we celebrate. And to all of those whom grace elects... To this very day... He resurrects ! |

...whew...I cannot help it, every time I read or think of the Savior on the cross and what He endured...I cry... this is beautiful...and full of truth |
