PEACE
December 1998

If all cruelty could be swept up into one long, loud, mind-rasping scream
and all pain could be cut or burnt from our bodies
and all selfishness annihilated
and all this and only this
for exactly sixty seconds
what a breathing space we would have.

Thanks, Dixie!  The silly thing is that I believe it could happen - and for a lot longer than 60 seconds.  How silly can I be!

Yes, wouldn't it be great to have a "breathing space" and it's never silly to believe it can happen because we really don't know what belief can do when the time is right.

Thanks Helen.  It's good to know that somebody else believes in belief too!

Thanks, Karen, I'm glad I have helped you to feel free.

Thanks, Barry, yes, wouldn't it?  My pleasure.

Martie, I'm glad you did.  Strange that you should say that.  I try every morning to find the time to and to remember to take 3 long breaths in and out in the bath.  Sounds very silly, but it is surprising what a difference it makes to me at the time and to the beginning of my day.

Thanks martyjo.  I'm glad you believe that it can be done too.

So when are we gonna try this, hmmm?

I could use a breath of fresh air m'self--which is why, sweet owl, I opened this thread to begin with.

I believe it can happen Diana. Imagine what 60 seconds of absolute peace would feel like. You've given me something to think about... and hope for. Thank you.

I'm screaming into the ethers for 60 seconds beginning right now! ..........
Screamer
.....There! Now that should give humanity at least a little bit of breathing space!

A wonderful write from a wonderfully warm and creative heart!

Big smiles, Karen.  I'd love to do it right now, if only I had the means and the knowledge as to how!  Hope the concept of 60 seconds of peace, brought you at least a little of the real thing!

Yes, Kate.  I think it would take somebody with oodles of time, money, knowledge and connections.  At least I sowed the seed.  Perhaps somebody with the above commodities none of which I have, will take it up from here.  I'm glad I gave you hope for world peace - because of course, from 60 seconds, it is but steps (whether a few or many) to 60 years!

Giggles and chortles and smiles, Earth Angel.  You do look adorable when you scream!  Yes, it certainly brought me a lot more than 60 seconds of peace, now we just need to send it to the rest of the world!  Thank you for your very kind words.  I feel very honoured.  Thank you also for the love, light, peace and harmony and for the lovely graphics especially the flying dove.

Hugs to all of you
