The morning fog is not a cat
today,
in the predawn light
here
it sifts through my open windows
a hydra
wagging tongues,
seeking,
outside it thickens in soft waves
running from the sun
while the day struggles
with its pants undone,
the world is gone ten feet away.

I have to agree with the others. You leave me speechless and you are definitley a POET.

Your poem is a paradox this morning....so much imagery and fog does take is all away!  The first line is particulary intriguing, because I've never compared fog to a cat before.  "Sleeps fat, and walks thin..."  Thank you, Poet.
