The morning fog is not a cat today, in the predawn light here it sifts through my open windows a hydra wagging tongues, seeking, outside it thickens in soft waves running from the sun while the day struggles with its pants undone, the world is gone ten feet away.

Your poem is a paradox this morning....so much imagery and fog does take is all away! The first line is particulary intriguing, because I've never compared fog to a cat before. "Sleeps fat, and walks thin..." Thank you, Poet.
