" I wish that I had written that", you know the one I mean. The one that flowed so beautifully, so bright, so clear, so clean that we were caught up in its' drift and spirited away. "I wish that I had written that", instead of this today. "I wish that I had written that", so eloquently said. Composed so very true to form, so effortlessly read, that once we start such stories we're compelled to follow through. " I wish that I had written that", we nod our heads, "How true". " I wish that I had written that", that oh, so clever phrase, its' meaning we interpret a variety of ways, with each a valid reason, yet, none more-so than the rest. "I wish that I had written that", in truth, and part, in jest. |

Doc~ I was just this moment digging in the archives and came across a reply to something I had posted - and found THIS from a dear member who has left his earthly shell to soar beyond the forever-of-time~ quote:I was really amazed when I popped over to Open and found your title staring at me, demanding that I enter~ Yes, I know what Wilfred was saying ... and now five years and three months later ... Martie, Thanks dear, so many times I've said that, or thought it about some piece by someone or another that yesterday when it popped into my head it finally dawned on me how many others might relate to this phrase. Doc Dear Marge, Your telling of the tale, along with the attendant quote by Yeats gives one pause to wonder. Thanks so much. Doc |
