She picked the flowers just so they would slowly die, Left on the sidewalk for the people passing by, Might they notice such a beautiful suffering, Causing some compassionate into acting, They'll take them home to a nice vase on the table, She would live in any vase if she was able. To live on cool water and in the warm sunlight, To be beautiful all day then close up at night, She watched the flowers lay wilting in the warm sun, Many walked by but they were gathered by no one. The blooms had grown ugly by the coming of night, She thought she was so like them as she hid from sight. Gloom |

Very sad indeed, Gloom. But very beautifully expressed. The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears. |
